Cookie Policy
We use cookies and local storage only to run the shop: to remember your basket, keep you signed in, and remember your preferences. We do not use them for advertising and we do not share them with anyone.
That is why there is no consent banner on this site: there is nothing to consent to beyond what the shop needs in order to work.
Exactly what we store
| Name | Type | Purpose | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|
| syriaemall_guest | Cookie | Remembers your basket and your order before you create an account. Without it your basket is lost on refresh, and you cannot open your order after placing it. | 90 days |
| syriaemall.theme | Local storage | Remembers whether you chose the light or dark appearance. | Until you clear it |
| syriaemall.access_token · syriaemall.refresh_token | Local storage | Keeps you signed in to your account. Stored only after you sign in, and removed when you sign out. | Until you sign out |
| barakat-mart:checkout-address:v1 | Local storage | Remembers your delivery address so you do not retype it. You can clear it from the checkout page. | Until you clear it |
How to control them
You can delete cookies from your browser settings at any time. Do keep the link you receive after placing an order, though: it is what lets you open that order after clearing your cookies, or from another device.
